THE PROJECT
Prescribe a Book was born from the work of Dr. Estêvão Rolim at UBS 3 in Itapoã, in the Federal District. On the medical prescription, along with medications, he began to also prescribe books to children and teenagers as a way of encouraging reading. Children admitted to HUB also began receiving lessons and books during their stay.
The project gained a community phase with a book swap fair, extending the initiative's reach beyond the consulting room.
