Study While Walking — Medical podcasts

A short list of podcasts worth the trip: the bus to your rotation, the walk to the health unit, the cafeteria line, the dishes after lunch. They don't replace reading or class — they keep the subject spinning in your head during time that was going to be lost anyway.

These are medical podcasts: clinical content, from those who see patients to those who see patients. That is what separates this page from To Listen and Reflect, which gathers general podcasts — journalism and criticism on health and society, with no clinical content — and from To Laugh and Reflect, with the humor videos used to problematize practice.

The podcasts listed are third-party productions. Escola de Pacientes does not take part in their production and is not responsible for the content of the episodes. Recommending them calls for the same critical reading as any other source, and no episode replaces a protocol, a guideline, or the preceptor's guidance.

Internal medicine and diagnostic reasoning

Podcast "Tá de Clinicagem" — internal medicine discussions led by physicians, focused on diagnostic reasoning and scientific evidence. It is aimed at medical students, doctors, and other health professionals, and most episodes fit into a walking commute.

Note: the same episodes also come out as video on the YouTube channel. It is worthwhile when the subject has an image, test, or tracing to follow along — which you can't do while walking.
