The moments of the class
- General introduction. Who we are and what the class does.
- The site. Where the material is, and where it stays after the class.
- Simulations. First round, in trios.
- Class — NCDs. Chronic diseases in general.
- Class — Obesity. From slides to the prescription on paper.
- Extra simulations. Second round and comparison.
1. General introduction
- Escola de Pacientes: teaching, research, and outreach in health, active since 2016 at UnB and in the Federal District network.
- What today's class covers: NCDs in general and obesity as a chronic disease.
- How the session is organized: two rounds of simulation, one before and one after the class, with the averages compared at the end.
- What the first round is and what it isn't: the group's baseline, not an individual assessment.
2. The site
- The class material doesn't end today: it stays published and open.
- Each topic has its own page, with slides, the Treatise chapter, PACK, patient guidance, and the Drive folder.
- This lesson plan page stays online after the class, with all the links.
3. Simulations
- What SimulaPacientes is: a digital patient, a consultation conducted in writing, item-by-item feedback on your own management.
- Why the consultation is written, and what the feedback shows at the end.
- Class code, and the trios form.
- First round, ten timed minutes — the QR code at the end of the page opens the case.
4. Class — NCDs
5. Class — Obesity
- Blank sheet. Each person writes a tirzepatide prescription without consulting the slides; the sheets change hands and the correction is made against the four steps for increasing the dose.
6. Extra simulations
- A quick form on which artificial intelligences each person already uses.
- Second round, this time in pairs or individually.
- The averages of the two rounds side by side, in front of the class.
- What the difference between them says — and what it doesn't.
